Sabina Park is a cricket ground located in Kingston, Jamaica. It is the sole test playing ground on the island. The ground was built in 1930 & since then it has been used as a venue for numerous test & one-day matches. Earlier the ground had a capacity of 15,000 spectators. But in the run up to the 2007 World Cup, the ground went through a major renovation drive & the capacity was increased from 15,000 to 20,000 spectators.
As has already been mentioned that the ground has been used for various test & one-day matches since the day it was built. The first test match on this ground was played in the year 1930 between West Indies & England. The first one-day on this ground was played in 1984 between West Indies & Australia. This was the ground where the first ever triple century in test cricket history was made by Andy Sandham (325) against West Indies in 1930.
