Formerly known as Salisbury Sports Club, the Harare Sports Club is a cricket Ground in Harare, Zimbabwe. Initially the ground was only used for first-class matches, but later it got test status when Zimbabwe was given the same. In fact, Zimbabwe played their first test match at this ground against India in 1992. The first one-day international on this ground was also played in 1992 between India & Zimbabwe.
The Harare Sports Club hosted its first T20 international in 2010 which was again, a match between India & Zimbabwe. The ground is a rather small one with a capacity of 10,000 people. But the capacity can be increased by adding temporary stands. In fact, in a match between Rhodesia & MCC in 1956 the ground had its biggest crowd which was more than 26,000.
