The international bilateral series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will start off from September 1, 2011, as per the schedule announced by the International Cricket Council. It is after a long time that Pakistan will be touring Zimbabwe. Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 2011 will be hosted by Zimbabwe. The entire series will be an integral part of the Future Tour Programs, an innovative initiative on the part of the ICC. Both teams are known for their uninhibited determination and passion for the sport, and therefore, the contest will be an even one. Spectators and audiences are surely going to enjoy every moment of the game.

The bilateral series between Zimbabwe and Pakistan will consist of all forms of the game, including Test Match, One Day Internationals and T20 Internationals. The series will be kick started on September 1, 2011 in the form of the 1st and only Test Match, to be held at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, from 09:30 am onwards local time. Pakistan’s record over the past few years in the longest version of the game has not been satisfactory. Hence, they can improve their Test ranking by delivering emphatic performances and clinching only Test Match that will be played.

After the end of the Test Match, Pakistan and Zimbabwe will lock horns against each other in the 50 over format of the game. In totality, 3 ODI matches has been organized, the first of which will be played at Queens Sports Park in Bulawayo, on September 8, 2011, from 9:00 am onwards local time. The other venue, Harare, will host the remaining 2 ODI matches to be played on September 11 and 14. The last two encounters of the bilateral series would be T20 Internationals. Both Pakistan and Zimbabwe has shown credibility in the shortest format of the game, since its inception.

The 1st T20 International will take place at Harare on September 16, 2011 from 14:00 hour local time. The second T20 International will also take place at the same venue, and the same time, but on September 18, 2011. Overall, the series is going to be a cliffhanger. Zimbabwe is known to be party-spoilers. In the past, they have successfully defeated the likes of India, West Indies and New Zealand. And with the current turmoil in the Pakistani squad, the contest is evened out, with an equal chance for both the teams.
