During the period of October-November, New Zeeland will be touring Zimbabwe for a bilateral series comprising of a solitary Test Match, followed by 3 match One Day International series, and a couple of Twenty20 encounters. The Kiwis have always been a confident bunch. Even the Zimbabwean outfit is pretty determined to create to upstage others, as they have done in the past against teams like India, West Indies and Australia. The tour begins with the first and only Test to be played at the Queens Sports Park in Bulawayo, on October 27, 2011 from 09:30hour local time. Zimbabwe’s test record is not worth appreciating; so it is their chance to salvage some pride and put up a decent performance.

After the end of the first Test Match, both teams will face off in the One Day Internationals Series. There will be three ODIs. The first one will be played at Bulawayo on November 3, 2011. The rest two will be played at Harare, on the 6th and 9th of the same month. All the matches will be Day games. In the recent past, Zimbabwe has performed well in the 50 over format of the game. So, New Zealand cannot be complacent while facing the minnows, which have a knack of surprising the cricket fraternity once in a while.

The last part of the Zimbabwe vs New Zealand 2011 series will feature 2 T20 matches, to be played at the Harare. The first T20 International will be held on November 11, 2011, while the final match will be played on November 13.
