The Scottish cricket team has been invited to Ireland for the cricket tournament which is soon to start from the coming month. The 2014 Scotland V Ireland cricket series is an international bilateral series that is to start from the early week of September and would run till the middle of the month. The series is organized by ICC and is the part of FTP.

It’s going to be a very brief and compact tour comprising only of the One Day International matches. The first 2014 Scotland V Ireland ODI is scheduled for September 8, 2014. It would start from 10:30 local (09:30 GMT) and would be hosted at Dublin based The Village Malahide stadium. The Scottish ODI team would be led by Kyle Coetzer. On the other hand, William Porterfield is the captain for the Irish One Day International squad.

There would be 3 One Day International matches in the upcoming 2014 Ireland V Scotland international bilateral series. There is a gap of one day in between the matches. The match venue and timing has been kept same for all the 3 One Day International matches in the series. The second match of the series is on September 10 while the last match of the series is scheduled for September 12, 2014.

Both Scotland and Ireland are emerging nations in the world of cricket – this is going to be a healthy and even competition. However, Ireland will of course have an upper hand here as it would have the backing of home crowd this time.
