The South African national cricket team has been invited to Australia for a tournament that would be starting later this year. The international bilateral series would start from early November 2014 and continue till the final leg of the month. The South Africa V Australia 2014 cricket series is organized by ICC and is the part of FTP.

The South Africa V Australia 2014 tournament would comprise of both ODI and T20 matches. The series will kick start with Twenty20 games from November 5, 2014. The first 2014 South Africa V Australia T20 game of the series would be hosted at Adelaide Oval. There would be 3 T20 matches in total, scheduled to be played in Melbourne and Sydney, apart from Adelaide. There is a single day gap between the T20 matches. The last T20 match of the series is on November 9 and would be played at Sydney based ANZ stadium. The South African T20 team would be led by Faf du Plessis while it is George Bailey for Aussie T20 squad.

The T20 matches would be followed by Australia V South Africa 2014 ODI matches. The first ODI match of the series is after a good 4 days of gap, ensuring good space for the players to relax, unwind and practice. The first One Day International match of the series is on November 14. The match would be played at W.A.C.A., Perth. There would be 5 One Day International matches in the series. There is either a single day or a couple of days of gap in between the ODI matches of this international bilateral series. The South African ODI squad would be headed by AB de Villiers while George Bailey is the head of ODI team for Australia. The series would finalize on November 23 with the last ODI that is to be hosted at Sydney Cricket Ground.
