Big Bash League Schedule

KFC T20 Big Bash League, which is also abbreviated as BBL (Big Bash League), has never failed to entertain the Australians, as well as the global cricketing audience. With eight teams hailing from multiple cities, this competition is administered by the highest cricketing authority of the country, Cricket Australia. The edition of the Big Bash League 2011 promises to be quite a thrilling encounter between these teams, and is scheduled to begin from December 16, 2011. Since it is a domestic tournament hosted by the individual cricketing board of a country, it does not feature in the cricketing fixture released by ICC, but finds a place in the International Cricket Council’s Future Tour Programs.

Big Bash League 2011 would continue up to the last week of January 2012, during which time a total of fifteen league matches, one preliminary final game and a final match will be conducted.  The first game will be a bilateral contest between the heavyweights Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat and will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground, on December 16, 2011. Each match is a close fought battle, thus keeping the viewers and audience in the edge of their seat. The final will take place on January 28, 2012.

The BBL has been developed with the aim of generating passion and rivalry that exists in football, basketball and rugby leagues. It is also a platform where many of the country’s undiscovered and raw talent will be exposed and brought to the forefront. In the upcoming years, this league will surely be expanded, with more number of teams, having players not only from Australia, but all around the world.
