West Indies invited the opposition to bat first after winning the toss and it was a successful decision. West Indies took 4 early wickets at 32 runs only but Joe Root's 55 off 40 balls and Billings' career-best 87 off 47 balls rescued England from a 32 for 4 positions after 5.2 overs. 55 vs England, T20 World Cup 2021
Recently West Indies got completely all out against England in the T20 world cup match at just 55 runs in 14.2 overs. This is the second lowest total of WI in T20 history. Surprisingly their lowest total is also against the same team which they broken in 2019. Chris Gayle was the only player to score a double digit run, 13 runs.
60 Vs Pakistan – 2018
Pakistan scored 56 runs in the first six overs as the West Indies' bowlers failed miserably. Samuel Badree, Keemo Paul, and Riyad Emrit were all off their lines and lengths, while Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam found the gaps to exploit the fielding limitations. Finally, Pakistan set a target of 204 runs for the West Indies but a poor start for West Indies. They were bowled out at 60 runs only in which 4 batsmen were out for a duck. This is the 3rd lowest team total of West Indies in T20I.
71 Vs England – 2019
The 3rd lowest team total of West Indies is 71 runs against England at Basseterre on 10 March 2019. After winning the toss, West Indies went for batting first but their top and middle order could not do much and could make 71 runs. David Willet bowled very well and took 4 wickets for 7 runs only. It was an easy target for the English team which they achieved very comfortably in 10.3 overs.
79/7 Vs Zimbabwe – 2010
79/7 is the 4th lowest team total of West Indies against Zimbabwe at Port of Spain on 28 Feb 2010. The West Indies' losing record appeared to be coming to an end after Sulieman Benn and Darren Sammy bowled brilliant spells, but Zimbabwe's determined spinner squad delivered a remarkable comeback to inspire the visitors to win a low-scoring battle. Zimbabwe could set a low scoring target of 104 runs for West Indies but their spin bowling attack did not allow the Indies batsmen to play freely.
95/9 Vs India – 2019
The 5th lowest total of the West Indies team in T20i is 95/9 against India at Lauderhill on 3 Aug 2019. The T20I between India and West Indies in Lauderhill was a messy thing, with 15 wickets falling and less than 200 runs made. In a T20 cricket contest featuring some of the world's best batsmen, it was the bowlers who had the most excitement. Navdeep Saini both got three wickets, while Kieron Pollard's run-a-ball 49 kept the West Indies in the game at the midway point. West Indies set the target of runs for Indian and India got the target in 17.2 overs.
