India Lowest Score in T20
As batsmen, teams have very little time to adjust from a terrible start in a format like Twenty20 Internationals. High possibilities exist that the team will eventually wind up with a very low score after 20 overs if there is an initial failure in the batting line-up. As a result of the fact that the team must also control the run rate, the batters are forced to make difficult decisions. It has happened to the Indian squad, too, when their batsmen have failed to deliver good results in T20Is.
For example, Shikhar Dhawan's choice to bat first after winning the toss in the third T20 of India's tour to Sri Lanka in Colombo flopped to an incredible level. India's batting order, probably their worst in T20Is, struggled to get going at the R Premadasa Stadium. Sri Lanka limited them to 81/8 in 20 overs, their 3rd total in T20s.
On the other hand, four of India's five specialist batsmen were removed for single-digit scores, including two ducks in an innings in which they hit as few as four boundaries each. India's lowest T20 score is 74/10 in 17.3 overs against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
