West Indies Highest Score in T20I

245/6 against India

In a dramatic one-run triumph over India in Lauderhill, Florida, Dwayne Bravo overcame the pressure with a magnificent show of death bowling that overpowered KL Rahul's heroics. After the West Indies scored their highest-ever T20 total of 245 for 6, India made 244 for 4.

Indian appeared to have the match under control with only 7 required in the final over after Rahul hammered an unbeaten 51-ball 110, but Bravo stopped Dhoni from completing the chase. Earlier, West Indies opener Evin Lewis scored his first T20I century in just his second outing, helping the team to 245/6, the third-highest T20 total in history.

236/6 against South Africa

It was the greatest successful run chase in the shortest format, powered by Chris Gayle's 90 off 41 balls and sustained by Marlon Samuels T20 half-century. South Africa made a huge total of 231 runs on the scoreboard. Faf du Plessis, who was leading the team, showed a heroic performance and struck 119 runs from 56 balls at the strike rate of 212.50. This helped the Africans to reach a total of 231 for 7. But the partnership of Gayle and Marlon Samuels created history for West Indies and they struck their 2nd highest total in the history of T20I. West Indies achieved the target with the help of Gayle’s 90 and Samuels’s 60 runs in just 19.2 overs. Thus, West Indies successfully scored 236/6, the 2nd highest score of West Indies.

209/2 against New Zealand

It was the first match of the New Zealand tour of the United States of America and the West Indies T20I series. After winning the toss, New Zealand opted for the bowl first. The two power hitters of WI Gayle, and Pollard took the total of 209. The unbeaten 85 runs from Gayle and Pollard’s 63 runs, helped their team to achieve that total. While chasing, New Zealand’s batsmen could not perform at that level and the entire squad was bowled out at 153 runs only. This was the third-highest total of WI in T20I at the run rate of 10.45 runs per over.

208/8 against England

The 4th highest total of West Indies in T20I came at The Oval against England on 28 Jun 2007. Batting first, West Indies batters put a total of 208 runs on the scoreboard at the run rate of over 10 runs per over. Devon Smith, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, and Marlon Samuels, all played well and took the total to 208. Paul Collingwood from the English side made a nice effort and made 79 runs while chasing but could not get the target. The team England could make 193 runs and lost the match by 15 runs. 

207/5 against India

The 5th highest total was scored by West Indies against team India at Hyderabad on 6 Dec 2019. Shimron Hetmyer played a half-century inning that helped them to reach that score. But the rocking performance of Virat Kohli (94) and KL Rahul (62) helped them to achieve the target so easily.
