Fastest 50 in IPL

Indian Premier League is a form where games may alter in only a few overs and it is very tough for teams to come back if they fall behind too deep in the game. An outstanding batter may sometimes shift up so quickly that the opponent has little opportunity to stop the flood of runs. An overview of the topic is presented in this article.

Fastest Fifties in IPL History

KL Rahul holds the record for scoring 50 runs in the fewest number of balls. In the IPL 2018 game against Delhi, he reached his half-century in just 14 balls. Rahul scored 51 runs off 16 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes in this innings. A total of 171 runs were scored in 18.5 overs by the Punjab side as they won the match by 6 wickets. Karun Nair scored 50 runs off 33 balls, including 5 fours and 2 sixes, to help his team to victory.

Rahul surpassed Yusuf Pathan and Sunil Narine's record for the quickest fifty in the IPL.

Yusuf Pathan delivered among the most spectacular T20 performances of all time in the IPL 2014 tournament. To achieve second place in the points table and have two chances to reach the final, Kolkata Knight Riders required 161 runs in 15.2 overs. Yusuf scored 72 runs off only 22 balls throughout his batting and touched 50 runs in only 15 balls. In 14.2 overs, Yusuf Ali's unstoppable striking helped KKR reach their target and finish in second place.

Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine smashed the RCB bowling attack in the IPL 2017 encounter. In only six overs, they scored 100 runs together. When Narine reached his half-century in only 15 balls, he was tied for the fastest half-century of that era. It took KKR 15.1 overs to chase down the needed score, and they won by 6 wickets in the end.

Raina's IPL 2014 qualifying knock may wind up on top of the list of all-time non-hundred IPL innings. To qualify for the final, CSK needed to score 227 runs. As CSK scored 100 runs in the powerplay, KXIP found itself on the back foot. Raina scored 87 of these 100 runs. As a result, his team's hopes were dashed on the first ball of the seventh over. It took Raina 16 balls to go to 50. He struck 12 fours and 6 sixes in total. It took CSK 20 overs to reach 202/7. CSK lost by 24 runs.

On the list of fastest fifties, eight players are tied for fifth place. All eight players reached their fifty in 17 balls. Chris Gayle, who scored 175 runs off 66 balls versus Pune Warriors in IPL 2013, has the best total. In addition to Pandya, Kishan, and Pollard, Adam Gilchrist, Nicholas Pooran, Chris Morris, and Sunil Narine are also included.
