Lowest Team Score in ODI
Since starting, cricket has been ruled over by the batsmen and so it is called the batsmen game but there are some instances where bowlers got the chance to dominate batsmen. There are some ODI matches where the pitch or any other condition helped bowlers and they bowled out the opposition at their lowest total. There are 9 instances when a team could not even touch the 50 runs mark in the past record of ODI. Teams like Zimbabwe, U.S.A., Canada, Pakistan, India, and many more have bowled out at low total.
In the history, Zimbabwe was bowled out by Sri Lanka at the lowest team score in odi of 35 runs in just 18 overs at Harare on 25 Apr 2004. Chaminda Vaas took 4 wickets, Farveez Maharoof and Dilhara Fernando took 3 & 2 wickets in that match. The highest run scored in that match was 7 by Dion Ebrahim.

The 5th lowest team score is 43 runs scored by Sri Lanka against South Africa in the 2nd inning at Paarl on 11 Jan 2012. South Africa had put a total of 301/8 on the scoreboard due to Hashim Amla’s century, AB de Villiers’s 52 runs. Sri Lanka got a challenging target of 302 and needed a good start but everything was changed when South Africa took the ball in hand to open the attack. They tore down the entire Sri Lanka team at the lowest total of 43 runs only. The Lanka’s 4 players were dismissed for 0 runs in that match.
