Highest Partnership in T20 International
In the game of cricket, the partnership between the two batsmen played an important role and every team wants some big partnerships to put a huge total on the scoreboard whether it is an ODI, T20I, or Test match. When a team has some big partnerships then it releases pressure for the other upcoming batsmen and allows them to play their game freely. There are three moments when a team has built up a partnership of 200+ runs in the history of T20 International.
The highest partnership in T20I is 236 runs made by Hazratullah Zazai and Usman Ghani of Afghanistan against Ireland at Dehradun on 23 Feb 2019. Afghanistan opener, Hazratullah Zazai, played a rocking inning of unbeaten 162 runs from just 62 balls at the strike rate of 261.29. Afghanistan scored a big total of 278 runs on the scoreboard because of that partnership. For India, the highest partnership of 165 runs was built up by Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul against Sri Lanka at Bridgetown on 7 May 2010. Rohit Sharma struck a century and added 118 runs from just 43 balls. There are only three teams that have scored 200 or more as a partnership and the teams are Afghanistan, Australia, and Scotland. Afghanistan struck the highest than Australia with 223 runs at number 2 and Scotland with 200 runs at number 3 position.
