M Srinivasan, the president of BCCI, has stepped aside temporarily after the spot fixing debauchery of IPL 6. This has been undoubtedly the biggest crisis time for Srinivasan in his more than two decades long association with cricket. Once the successful reign of Dalmiya and IS Bindra had been invaded by Srinivasan; and now things have come a full circle for Dalmiya and Bindra. Dalmiya is currently the interim president of BCCI, richest and undoubtedly most powerful cricket board in the world while IS Bindra, who also served as BCCI president and has been associated with BCCI for nearly 4 decades now, is principal advisor to ICC.

IS Bindra, one of the vocal opponents of Mr Srinivasan and one of the first men to demand for his resignation, has pitched for an ICC probe against Srinivasan. In an open letter addressed to the ICC, Bindra had pointed out that Srinivasan stands guilty of breaching many a clause which ICC directors need to take into account and order an ICC level probe against him while barring him from participating in ICC proceedings until the probe finds its results.

Besides the ethical responsibility, Bindra pointed out that Srinivasan stands guilty against clauses which involve strict abstinence from betting business by immediate family of a board president; due to the arrest of Gurunath Meiyyapan, son in law of Srinivasan under betting charges. Further, Bindra had even pointed out in his letter about conflict of interest involving Star Sports and one of its channels, Life OK.
