1. Virat Kohli – 200 runs vs West Indies
Virat’s maiden double century came against the West Indies in July 2016 in the North Sound. Batting first, India declared at 566/8, and Virat scored 200 runs with 24 boundaries. Ravi Ashwin also scored 113 runs. India dismissed West Indies for 243 and 231 in two innings to win the game by an inning and 92 runs.
2. Virat Kohli – 211 vs New Zealand
Virat’s second double century came in the very next series against New Zealand in October 2016. India declared at 557/5 in their first inning, with Virat (211) and Ajinkya Rahane (188) scoring big centuries. New Zealand scored 299 in reply. India made 216/3 and set a 475-run target. New Zealand got dismissed for 153 runs and lost by 321 runs.

Virat smashed his third double century in December 2016 when England came to India. It was the fourth test at Wankhede Stadium. England scored 400 runs in their first inning.
