The T20 format has overshadowed the other two formats of the game. That is why it is the most popular form of the game among fans. This format has helped this sport span over 100 countries in the world. With the growing interest in T20 cricket, the United States has also made a big move and introduced their first T20 tournament, which will include players from all over the world playing together.

They have introduced Major League Cricket to the world, which will be played like the Indian Premier League and other T20 leagues around the world. This will have six teams in the first season, which will start on July 13 (Thursday) in Dallas. Every team will play five matches each against the remaining sides, and the top four will qualify for the playoffs. This tournament will have a total of 19 games, including the final on July 30.

Texas Super Kings: Details and Schedule

A total of six teams will take part in MLC 2023. Three of the six teams are owned by IPL franchises. One of the MLC teams is owned by one of the most successful IPL franchises, the Chennai Super Kings, which is known as the Texas Super Kings in the MLC tournament. This team is based in the city of Dallas, Texas. The home stadium of this team is Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas. It is co-owned by the Chennai Super Kings, Ross Perot Jr., and Anurag Jain. Texas Super Kings: Squad and Coaching Staff

CSK has always promoted its own stars, despite the different leagues in different countries. They were not able to pick Faf du Plessis in 2022, but they made him the captain of the Joburg Super Kings in SA20 and have done the same in MLC 2023. Du Plessis is the captain of the TSK in the new tournament, while Stephen Fleming gets the role of head coach. The franchise also picked former CSK star Ambati Rayudu, who retired recently after the IPL 2023.

But due to the BCCI’s policy, he withdraws just a month before the start of the tournament. Former CSK all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is also part of the team. South African stars David Miller and Rusty Theron will also play for this team. The Kiwi duo of Mitchell Santner and Devon Conway are also in the squad and are currently CSK members.
