Scoring a century in the shorter format is a very rare occurrence. It takes a lot to touch the three-figure mark in T20Is for any batter because of the risk involved and the limited time to bat. However, there have been 12 instances when an Indian batter scored a century in this format, which is the most by any country in Twenty20 cricket.
In fact, Indian batters hold the majority of century records in all three formats. Out of those 15 times, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav has done it four times, which is the most by any batter in the world. So here we will look at the centuries scored by Indian batters in T20I cricket.
Ruturaj Gaikwad became first player to score a century in T20 against Australia.
