The team is also nick named as Orange Army Eagles. The logo of the SRH team consists of an eagle with wings open and rising sun on the top colored with dark orange. The captain of the team is Kame Williamson and has been led by the Coach Trevor Bayliss. The home ground of this team is Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. The kit of the team consists of an orange T-shirt and a black track.

Since its formation, the team has given its best. It made its first appearance in 2013 as the rising sun and grabbed fourth place in IPL. But then in IPL 2016, the team has won its first IPL title defeating the RCB. Also, the team is constantly qualified for the playoff stage every time. It has also been the finalist with CSK. David Warner and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar are the lead players of the team.
