5. Manish Pandey – INR 11 Crore in 2018

Veteran Indian middle-order batter Manish Pandey has been part of the Orange Army for four seasons. He joined SRH in 2018 and played until 2021. He performed consistently for them in the league. The franchise invested a big amount—about INR 11 crore per season—in him for four seasons. He played 51 games for them and scored 1345 runs at an average of 35.39 and a strike rate of 124.76 with 12 half-centuries.

4. Shikhar Dhawan – INR 12.5 Crore in 2014

Veteran Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan was one of the few players to play for Sunrisers Hyderabad in their debut season. He has also captained the side for a few seasons and was their highest paid cricketer initially. Dhawan was paid a per season amount of INR 12.5 crore from the 2014 to 2017 seasons. He is also the second highest run scorer for the team. Dhawan has played 85 games and scored 2518 runs with 19 half-centuries.

3. David Warner – INR 12.5 Crore in 2019

The man who led the Orange Army to IPL glory in the 2016 season is also the joint-third highest paid cricketer for the franchise for one season. Warner was the best player for them over the season. He was a member of the SRH from 2014 to 2021. Between 2019 and 2021, Warner was paid INR 12.5 crore per season. Warner has scored 4014 runs in 95 games for SRH at a brilliant average of 49.55 and a strike rate of 142.59.

2. Harry Brook – INR 13.25 Crore in 2023

English batting sensation Harry Brook caught the attention of everyone with this spectacular performance in 2022 across all three formats. It caught the attention of a few IPL franchises. That’s why when his name came in the IPL auction 2023, 3-4 teams entered the bidding war to acquire him. But in the end, it was the 2016 IPL winner who roped him in for a price of INR 13.25 crore, making him the costliest player for SRH ever in an IPL auction.

1. Kane Williamson – INR 14 Crore in 2022

After Warner, it was Kane Williamson who took charge of the team. He was the one who led the Orange Army to the final of the 2018 season. But they lost to CSK in the final. Williamson captained the side for a few seasons and was the most consistent performer. But his poor form in 2022 forced the franchise to release him. He was being paid INR 14 crore for the year 2022.
