Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Shreyas Iyer is a talented Indian batter who has represented India in all three formats. He got recognition after his exploits with the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. Later, he got a chance to play for India and made his international debut in December 2017 against Sri Lanka.
But with already so many seniors playing in the middle order, he hardly got many chances to prove his worth. However, Iyer kept on playing well in the IPL. Shreyas Iyer made his ODI debut in December 2017. He played his first game against Sri Lanka in Dharamsala and scored nine runs. Iyer has played the second-most ODI innings without getting out for a duck, which is also a record. Iyer scored his maiden ODI hundred against New Zealand in Hamilton in February 2020.
