RR vs RCB: The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League reaches its final two matches. The next match is another big game for the second spot in the final of the IPL. It is a Qualifier 2 between two Royal teams. At 7:30 p.m., Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday at 7:30 pm.
Both teams have played one playoff game each but have different results. RCB are coming off a brilliant win over LSG in their previous match and are looking quite good. On the other hand, RR lost the first qualifier and now has the second chance to qualify for the final. So let’s check out the complete details of the match and possible XI.
RR vs RCB, Qualifier 2: Match Preview and Prediction
Royal Challengers Bangalore

Faf du Plessis and his team are coming off a brilliant win over LSG in their last match. In the end, they found another hero in their team as Rajat Patidar registered the highest score for RCB in the playoff games in the history of the IPL. The positive for them is that despite the failure from Kohli, Du Plessis, and Maxwell, the team has won.
The bowling group is looking stronger with both Harshal and Hazlewood performing. Both pacers looked good, and Hasaranaga restricted the opposition in the middle. And now, with luck on their side, RCB is looking more dangerous. There is no change expected in the playing XI.
Probably XI: Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Shahbaz Ahmed, Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj.
Rajasthan Royals

Sanju Samson and his team looked good while batting. But the bowling department let them down, and they have to play the second qualifier against RCB. RR were the favourites going into the first qualifier but ended up on the losing side. The bowlers were not able to control the game and, as a result, they faced a humiliating defeat at the hands of GT.
But now they have another chance to make it to the final and avenge the Gujarat Titans. But they are up against a spirited RCB team. Although, the positive from the last match is that Jos Buttler is back in form and scoring runs. That will surely be a confidence booster for the team. But they need to pull up their shocks and come hard on RCB.
Probably XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal, Obed McCoy.
RR vs RCB Qualifier 2: Match, Pitch and Toss Update
The conditions at Narendra Modi Stadium are likely to assist both batsmen and bowlers. The ground has both red and black soil pitches. So it will be a big question on which soil the match will be played. However, the toss becomes more crucial in a knockout game. The team winning the toss would like to bowl first to get the idea of the pitch.
RR vs RCB: Head to Head
Both teams have met a total of 27 times in the history of the IPL. But there is hardly a difference between the two in terms of wins. So far, Royal Challengers Bangalore have won 13 matches, as compared to RR’s 11 wins. But in the last two matches between the two, both teams won one match each.
IPL 2022: RR vs RCB: Players to watch out for
Jos Buttler played a really good innings in the last match against GT. But it ended in a losing cause. He started slowly but kept the pace in the end. So, he will be looking to win the match this time around. Buttler has scored 718 runs so far at an average and strike rate of 51.28 and 148.38, respectively.
Yuzvendra Chahal didn’t have a good game against GT. That is one of the reasons that RR lost the match. He went wicketless, but he would like to perform against his old team and add some more wickets. Chahal has taken 26 wickets this season and is currently the “Purple Cap” holder.
Virat Kohli had a start in the last match but couldn’t captilaised it. But he would be looking to make the most of this opportunity in a big clash. He looked in good touch and would like to score big. Kohli has scored 334 runs so far at an average of 23.85.
Wanindu Hasaranga is so close to Chahal that he needs two more wickets to take the “Purple Cap”. So he has a good chance in this match. He was good against LSG and bowled a very tight line in the match. Hasaranga has taken 25 wickets so far with an economy of 7.62.
IPL 2022: Playing 11 team of the match Prediction
Wicket-keeper: Jos Buttler (RR), Sanju Samson (RR)
Batsmen: Virat Kohli (RCB), Faf Du Plessis (RCB), Rajat Patidar (RCB), Devdutt Padikkal (RR)
All-rounders: Glenn Maxwell (RCB), Ravichandran Ashwin (RR)
Bowlers: Josh Hazlewood (RCB), Yuzi Chahal (RR), Harshal Patel (RCB)
Tips: Jos Buttler will be the captain of the team. Virat Kohli or Glenn Maxwell will be the vice-captain. RR are low on confidence after their last loss, so RCB have a better chance. So we will back Royal Challengers Bangalore to win the match. However, the team winning the toss might win the game as well.
