Just like the other two formats, Australia was one of the two teams to play the first ever official game in the shorter format of the game. They, along with New Zealand, played the first ever T20I game, which took place on February 17, 2005, at Eden Park in Auckland. But unlike the other two formats, it took some time for Australia to show its dominance.
One can say that the Australian T20I side hasn’t been as successful as they are in ODIs and Tests. But in 2021, Australia won their maiden T20 World Cup in the UAE, beating New Zealand in the final. They topped the T20I team rankings on May 1, 2020, for the very first time. But this team holds some major records in this format, which we will check below.

Australia T20I Records vs other Teams
The standard set by Australia in this sport is the best among other teams. They are the most successful country in this game. That is why their performance in T20I is also pretty decent. They have a winning percentage of approximately 55 percent in this format.
