Perth Scorchers are the most successful franchise in the history of the Big Bash League. They have qualified for the playoffs nine times out of the past 12 seasons. Meanwhile, they have won the BBL a total of four times, which is one-third of the seasons that have been played. The Scorchers won the league in 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2021, respectively.
Scorchers also ended as runners-up in 2011, 2012 and 2020 seasons. And with that much success in the league, the franchise has also stuck with the same set of players. That is why, unlike the other BBL teams, the Perth Scorchers have only had six captains since the beginning of the league.
