Oval Invincibles Squad 2022

July 18, 2022 by Karan Rawat

One of the most successful franchises in the Hundred competition is the Oval Invincibles. The cricket team is based in the city of South London. The franchise represents two of the iconic clubs in English cricket: Surrey and Kent. Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Sam Billings, and Jason Roy are some of the superstars on this team.

The franchise made the headlines when they picked Sam Billings as their skipper in 2019. He is leading the men’s team in the competition. While the South African women’s batter, Dane van Niekerk, leads the women’s team. Tom Moody is the head coach of the men’s team. On the other hand, Jonathan Batty is coaching the women’s side.

However, the Invincibles made history when the women’s team won the inaugural title in 2021. However, the men’s team, led by Sam Curran, finished in fourth place with four wins and three defeats. The home ground for the franchise is The Oval.

Oval Invincibles: Complete Squad

The Oval Invincibles finally brought back their star all-rounder, Sunil Narine. The franchise used the RTM to get him into the team. On the other hand, they also picked Hilton Cartwright and Hilton Cartwright to strengthen their batting line-up. Cartwright is a six-hitting machine as he showed in the recently concluded Big Bash League.

The most astonishing pick at the draft was Danny Briggs, and that too, at a price of 50k euros. They also picked Matt Milnes and Jack Leaning for their team this season. These two players were part of Kent’s title triumph in the T20 Blast.

Squad: Sam Billings (C), Rory Burns, Jordan Cox, Jason Roy, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Rilee Rossouw, Will Jacks, Saqib Mahmood, Sunil Narine, Nathan Sowter, Hilton Cartwright, Reece Topley, Matt Milnes, Danny Briggs, Jack Leaning.
