5. Sohail Tanvir (20 wickets) in 2016 season for Guyana
Sohail Tanvir is among the leading wicket takers in CPL. He was at his peak in the 2016 season for the Guyana Amazon Warriors. He ended the season as the second-highest wicket-taker. Tanvir picked up 20 wickets in 12 matches at an incredible economy of 6.45 with a best figure of 4/20. He was one of the reasons that Guyana made it to the finals. However, they lost the finals to the Jamaica Tallawahs, but Tanvir did a really good job.
4. DJ Bravo (21 wickets) in 2016 for Trinbago Knight Riders
Dj Bravo is the leading wicket-taker in the T20 format, including the IPL and CPL. He ended as the highest wicket in the 2016 season, overtaking Sohail Tanvir by one wicket. In 12 matches, he picked up a total of 21 wickets for Trinbago Knight Riders in 2016 at an average and economy of 18.85 and 8.42. His overall performance helped his team to end the season as second runners-up. His best figure was 4/13.
3. Fawad Ahmed (22 wickets) in 2018 for Trinbago Knight Riders
Veteran Australian leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed is in the third spot. He ended as the highest wicket-taker in the 2018 season. He was playing for the Trinbago Knight Riders and played a total of 13 games in that season. Fawad was one of the main reasons that Trinbago lifted the trophy in the 2018 season. He picked up 22 wickets at an average and economy rate of 13.77 and 6.18, respectively, with a best bowling figure of 3/13.
2. Hayden Walsh (22 wickets) in 2019 for Barbados Tridents
The second spinner in the list is Hayden Walsh, who has the joint-second most wickets in one CPL season. He finished at the top of the 2019 season, playing for the Barbados Tridents. In that season, he played just nine games and took 22 wickets at an excellent average of 12.68 and an economy rate of 8.28, with a best bowing figure of 5/19. He was the prime reason that Barbados won the 2019 season, beating Guyana in the finals.
1. DJ Bravo (28 wickets) in CPL 2015 for Trinidad & Tobago
DJ Bravo is once again featured on the list and is at the top. He is the only bowler in CPL history who has taken over 25 wickets in one season. It was in 2015 that he ended as the most successful bowler. He was playing for Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel (now Trinbago Knight Riders) and played 13 games and picked up 28 wickets in total at an economy of 7.34. Bravo also took two four-wicket haul and one five-wicket haul, with a best figure of 5/23. It was his effort that helped Trinidad lift the 2015 title.
