5. Mominul Haque – 673 runs in 2018
Former Bangladeshi skipper Mominul Haque is among the best modern-day test batters for his country. He has always been among the top scorers for Bangladesh in this format. Since making his debut in March 2013 against Sri Lanka, Mominul has taken some giant strides. He is one of the few Bangladeshi players with a twin century in a test. In 2018, he scored 673 runs in 8 tests with four centuries.
4. Mushfiqur Rahim – 766 runs in 2017
Veteran Bangladesh wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim makes this list in fourth place. He is currently the leading run-scorer for his country in red-ball cricket. In 85 tests, he has scored 5498 runs with 10 centuries and 26 half-centuries. He was at his best in 2017, when he scored 766 runs in just eight tests at an average of 54.71. Mushfiqur also scored two centuries and three half-centuries in that year.
3. Litton Das – 800 runs in 2022
Star wicketkeeper batter Litton Das has shown some great skills in the last couple of years. He has emerged as the best all-format batter for his country. Litton Das ended the 2022 season among the top run-getters and highest for his country. It was one of those rare years when Bangladesh played 10 tests in a year. In those games, he scored 800 runs at 44.44 and a best of 141, with two centuries and five half-centuries.
2. Habibul Bashar – 801 runs in 2003
Former opener Habibul Bashar played Test cricket between 2000 and 2008. He played his last game in February 2008 against South Africa. When he retired, he was the leading run-getter for Bangladesh in tests. Later, other batters crossed him. He scored 3026 runs in 50 games. In 2003, he scored 801 runs in nine games with a best of 108, including one century and seven half-centuries.
1. Tamim Iqbal – 837 runs in 2010
Veteran opener Tamim Iqbal holds multiple records for his country in the game of cricket. He has scored the most international runs and international centuries for them. In tests, he has scored 5134 runs in 70 games with 10 centuries and 31 fifties. Tamim also holds the record for most test runs in a year for his country. He did it in 2010. Tamim scored a total of 837 runs in just seven tests at 59.79. He also scored three centuries and six half-centuries.
