A test century is always a big achievement for any batter in his career because it is the most difficult format of the game. Then there are batters who have scored multiple centuries in the test cricket. 5. Ricky Ponting – 18 Test Centuries
Former Australian Ricky Ponting has scored the most test centuries for his country in international cricket including ODIs and Tests. He has played 168 Tests in his test career and scored 13378 runs at 51.85 with 41 centuries and 62 half-centuries. In his career, he scored 23 centuries at home and 18 centuries in away games.
4. Rahul Dravid – 21 Test Centuries
Former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid, who was famousely known as “The Wall” was among the best test batter in history. He had a glorious international career and is among few batters with over 10,000 runs in ODIs and Tests both. His test career had 13288 runs in 164 Tests at an average of 52.31 with 36 centuries and 63 half-centuries. He scored 21 away and 15 home centuries in test.
3. Jacques Kallis – 22 Test Centuries
Former South African superstar Jacques Kallis is third on the list. He scored most runs, centuries and half-centuries for his country in the longest format. Kallis played 166 games and scored 13289 runs at an average of 55.37 with 45 centuries and 58 half-centuries with 292 wickets. He made 23 centuries at home while 22 away centuries.
2. Younis Khan – 27 Test Centuries
Younis Khan is one of the few Pakistani batters with a triple century in the longest format. He also scored the most runs and test centuries for his country. In his 118-match career, he scored 10099 runs at an average of 52.05 and 34 centuries and 33 half-centuries. Younis scored 27 centuries outside Pakistan and seven centuries at home. One of the main reason can also be because Pakistan played cricket in UAE as their second home for almost a decade.
1. Sachin Tendulkar – 29 Test Centuries
Little Master, or Master Blaster, is expectedly topping this list. Just like the ODIs, he has scored most test centuries away from home. Tendulkar is the only player with 100 internationa centuries (51 Tests and 49 ODI hundreds). In test, Sachin retired with 15921 runs in 200 games at 53.78 with 51 centuries and 68 half-centuries. Sachin has scored 22 centuries in India while 29 came in away games.
