5. Neil Harvey – 13 Test Centuries

Former middle order batter Neil Harvey had a glorious career in the preious era. He played test cricket between 1948 to 1963 for his country. In his career, he played 79 tests and scored 6149 runs at an average of 48.41 and a best of 205. He also scored 21 centuries and 24 half-centuries. Harvey made 8 centuries at home rest 13 came outside Australia.

4. Alan Border – 14 Test Centuries

Australian great Alan Border was one of the finest all-format batters for his country between 1978 and 1994. He also scored the second-most test runs for his country in the longest format. Border played 156 tests and scored 11174 runs at 50.56 with 27 centuries and 63 half-centuries. He scored 13 centuries in Australia and 14 in away matches.

3. Steve Smith – 15 Test Centuries

Steve Smith is one of the most prolific run-getters for Australia in the longest format. Former captain is probably the best in the modern era in tests who is averaging close to 60. In just 96 Tests, he has scored 8792 runs at 59.80 with 30 centuries. His ability to score runs everywhere makes him a special cricketer. Smith has 16 home centuries and 15 away centuries in his test career.

2. Steve Waugh – 17 Test Centuries

The captain who led Australia to victory in the 1999 ODI World Cup is second on this list. Steve Waugh was not just for Australia but overall, he was among the best batter to play both formats. However, his test career has better numbers as compared to tests. In 168 tests, he scored 10927 runs with 32 centuries. Steve scored 15 hundreds at home while other 17 came in away games.

1. Ricky Ponting – 18 Test Centuries

Ricky Ponting is at the top of list for Australian batting records in the longest format. He retired with a legendary career with almost everything in it. Ponting played in 168 tests and scored 41 centuries with 13378 runs at an average of 51.85. He scored 23 hundreds at home and remaining 18 came outside Australia in away test matches.
