5. Glenn Maxwell (506 runs) in 2018

Glenn Maxwell is a world-recognized name in this game. He is known for his eye-catching shots and aggressive batting. He is one of the few batters with three T20I hundreds in his career so far. In 2018, Maxwell played 18 innings and scored 506 runs at 36.14 and a strike rate of 143.75. One of his centuries came in that year (103 not out) with two half-centuries.

4. Aaron Finch (512 runs) in 2022

Former Australian captain Aaron Finch was a brilliant batter in the shorter format. His numbers are just unbelievable in this format. He is the only batter with two 150-plus scores (172 and 156) in T20I cricket. One of his best performances came in 2022. He scored 512 runs in 20 innings at an average of 28.44, with 63 being his best. Finch also scored four half-centuries that year.

D’Arcy Short is not active for Australia, but he is still playing in the Big Bash League. He is a terrific batter who can bowl a useful spin. Short played 23 games in his career, 18 of which he played in 2018. In that year, he scored 515 runs at an average of 32.13 and a strike rate of 121.17. Short scored 76 as his best, with four half-centuries.
