Lendl Simmons (133 sixes) between 2013-2021
There is no doubt that openers get the most time to play in the T20 format. So this list will feature mostly top-order batters. Lendl Simmons is fourth on the list. Simmons has been a member of CPL since its inception in 2013. But interestingly, he has played for five franchises in eight editions. He has played for Guyana Amazon Warriors, Jamaica Tallawahs, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, St Lucia Stars, and Trinbago Knight Riders. Simmons has played a total of 93 matches and scored 2629 runs with 20 half-centuries. He has also hit a total of 133 sixes overall, along with 213 fours.
Kieron Pollard (156 sixes) between 2013-2022
The next name on the list is former West Indian skipper Kieron Pollard. He has represented three franchises in eight editions: the Barbados Tridents, St Lucia Stars, and Trinbago Knight Riders. Pollard is among the hardest hitters of the cricket ball, so he makes this list easily. He has played a total of 92 games and batted in 84 innings with 2227 runs at an incredible strike rate of 153.58. Pollard has also hit one century and 12 half-centuries and has 147 sixes along with 140 boundaries to his name in the CPL.
Chris Gayle (172 sixes) between 2013-2021
When it is about hitting sixes in cricket, no one can surpass the “Universe Boss”. Chris Gayle is a beast when it comes to hitting the ball in any format of the game. Whether it is international cricket or the CPL, the left-hander is at the top of both lists. Gayle has played for Jamaica Tallawahs, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in his CPL career so far. In 85 matches, the left-hander has scored 2519 runs at an average and strike rate of 36.50 and 133.13. He has the most four centuries in this tournament with 13 fifties. In total, Gayle has hit a total of 172 sixes and 189 fours in his CPL career.
Evin Lewis (173 sixes) between 2014-2022 (Most in Caribbean Premier League)
Evin Lewis is the successor to Chris Gayle for the West Indies. He is also a brute, powerful and hard-hitting opener. Lewis made his CPL debut in 2014 and has been a regular member since then. He has represented two teams: the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots and the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel. In a total of 80 matches, the left-hander has scored 2213 runs at a strike rate and average of 143.60 and 29.50, respectively. He has also made one century and 17 half-centuries in his CPL career. Speaking of his boundaries, Lewis has hit 167 sixes and 161 fours.
