5. Chris Lynn (454 runs) in 2016 for Guyana Amazon Warriors
Australian opener, Chris Lynn, is at number five on the list. He ended the 2016 season as the highest run-scorer in the CPL. The right-hander played for the Guyana Amazon Warriors and helped the franchise reach the finals of the season. Lynn played 12 matches in the season and scored 454 runs at an average and strike rate of 45.40 and 133.13. He scored three half-centuries in that season.
4. Glenn Phillips (457 runs) in CPL 2018 for Jamaica Tallawahs
Glenn Phillips is another overseas player who is among the batters with the most runs in a single CPL season. He is the fourth player overall. He played for the Jamaica Tallawahs and was the highest scorer for the franchise in 2018. However, his team ended the season at 4th place, and he was among the best batters in that edition. Philips was also the second highest run-getter in 2018 with 457 runs from 11 matches at an average of 41.54 and a strike rate of 146.94 with one century and two half-centuries.
3. Chadwick Walton (458 runs) in 2017 for Guyana Amazon Warriors
Chadwick Walton is also among the most consistent batters in the CPL. He is third on the list and his best performance came in the 2017 season for the Guyana Amazon Warriors. He finished the season as the highest run-scorer and his team finished third in the 2017 season. Walton played 12 games in 2017 and scored 458 runs at an average of 41.63 and a strike rate of 145.85. He scored three half-centuries with a high score of 92.
2. Brandon King (496 runs) in 2019 for Guyana Amazon Warriors
Brandon King is another young and talented batsman from the West Indies who is known for playing long and quick innings. He has done well in the CPL so far, and his best season came in 2019 for Guyana Amazon Warriors. He played 12 games and ended as the highest run-scorer in the competition. His performance helped his team reach the finals of the tournament. King made 496 runs at an incredible average of 55.11 and a strike rate of 148.94. He holds the record for the highest individual score in the CPL, which came in the same season. He scored one century and three half-centuries, with a high score of 132*.
1. Colin Munro (567 runs) in CPL 2018 for Trinbago Knight Riders
Records suggest that Colin Munro is among the best batters in the CPL’s history. He made his CPL debut for Trinbago Knight Riders in 2016 and since then, he has been doing well for the franchise every season. But his best season came in 2018, when he ended the tournament breaking all records and was the all-time highest run-scorer. Munro played 13 games in 2018 and scored 567 runs at an unbelievable average of 51.54 and a strike rate of 140.34. He was doing well in almost every game and scored six half-centuries in 13 innings.
