A double century in test cricket is always a special mark for any batter. There are batters who have scored multiple double tons, while there are a few who couldn’t reach that mark. This article will cover the list of Pakistani batters who scored the most double centuries in test careers.
Javed Miandad and Younis Khan jointly hold the record for the most double tons for their country. There are a few other big names on this list as well. Notably, so far, 45 times a Pakistani batter has crossed the 200-run mark in the longest format of the game. So, let’s check it out.

5. Azhar Ali – 3 Double Hundreds
Former Pakistani captain Azhar Ali, who retired recently in 2022, has the third-most double centuries in his career. Making his debut in July 2010, he played for 12 years and 97 Tests. He is one of the few Pakistani batters to have scored a triple ton as well. Azhar scored 7142 runs at 42.26 with a best of 302 not out, including 19 centuries and 35 half-centuries. He scored three double tons in his career.
4. Mohammad Yousuf – 4 Double Hundreds
Mohammad Yousuf was probably Pakistan‘s one of the best test batters in the 2000s. He holds the record for most test runs in calendar years with nine centuries. Yousuf made his debut in 1998 and played until 2010. In his career, he played 90 tests and scored 7530 runs, including 24 centuries and 33 half-centuries. He scored four double centuries in his career.
3. Zaheer Abbas – 4 Double Hundreds
Zaheer Abbas was Pakistan’s best previous generation cricketer and paved the way for the coming generation to follow this game. He was a pure strokemaker and the backbone of the team between the 1970s and 1980s. Zaheer played 78 tests and scored 5062 runs at 44.79, with 12 centuries and 20 half-centuries. He converted four of his hundreds into double tons, with a top score of 274.
2. Younis Khan – 6 Double Hundreds
Younis Khan is the only player from Pakistan to score over 10,000 runs in the longest format of the game. He is also the only Pakistani player to score over 300 test runs in his career. Younis played 118 tests between 2000 and 2017, during his career. He scored 10099 runs at an average of 52.05 with a best of 313, including 34 centuries and 33 half-centuries. He made six double centuries in his career.
1. Javed Miandad – 6 Double Hundreds
Javed Miandad is one of the biggest names from the previous generation that served Pakistan at the highest level. He played for 17 years and featured in 124 Tests in his superb career. Javed scored 8832 runs at an average of 52.57, with a best of 280 not out. He scored 23 centuries and 43 half-centuries and reached 200 or more a total of six times.
