It was the Hurricanes that won the toss and bowled first. The Renegades had some good partnerships in the middle. Skipper Aaron Finch made 63 off 40 balls to give them a good start. In the end, an unbeaten fifty from Tom Cooper helped them reach 222/4.
It was their highest BBL total. Cooper made an unbeaten 53 off 24 balls. In reply, the Hurricanes lost two wickets for just 19 runs. But then came a brilliant century from Ben McDermott.
