LSG: Lucknow Super Giants made their IPL debut in the TATA IPL 2022. They did pretty well in their maiden season and ended the tournament in the top four. They were unlucky that they lost the Eliminator of the last season to Royal Challengers Bangalore and ended the season at fourth place. But the team had some big stars on it. Even for the coming season of the IPL, the franchise has made sure that the star value of the team should not come down.
As a result, they have added some other big players to the team. They have invested heavily in some players, but the team is looking settled for the IPL 2023. LSG has made some millionaires in a single season. And here we will talk about those players who are charging huge fees for the next edition of the IPL.
5. Krunal Pandya – INR 8.25 Crore
Krunal Pandya is one of those players who can win the game for his team in all three departments. LSG mainly targeted the all-rounders in the 2022 season and bagged Krunal for a price of INR 8.25 crore. He is their fifth-costliest player and performed well for them in 2022. Krunal took 10 wickets in 12 innings at a decent economy rate of 6.97 and also scored 183 runs at an average and strike rate of 20.33 and 126.21.

Indian pacer Avesh Khan made his mark in the 2021 season when he was playing for the Delhi Capitals. He ended as their highest wicket-taker with 24 wickets in 16 games, which skyrocketed his stock in the IPL. Thus, LSG invested INR 10 crore to acquire him, and he is their fourth-most expensive player for the upcoming edition. Avesh was good with the ball. In the IPL, a genuine all-rounder always comes at a high cost. Marcus Stoinis, the star all-rounder from Australia, was acquired by LSG for INR 11 crore, making him the team’s third most expensive player for the upcoming season. He missed a few games in the beginning due to the international schedule in 2022. But he was part of 11 matches last season and scored 156 runs at a strike rate of 147.17 and also took four wickets with the ball.
2. KL Rahul – INR 15 Crore
Normally, an IPL team captain is the costliest player for the franchise. But LSG skipper KL Rahul is the second most expensive player, and he is taking a fee of INR 15 crore for one IPL season currently. Rahul led the team very well, and his individual performance was incredible. He was the second-highest run scorer in the competition last season, behind Jos Buttler. Rahul scored 616 runs in 15 innings at an average of 51.33 with two centuries and four half-centuries.
1. Nicholas Pooran – INR 16 Crore
Former West Indian captain Nicholas Pooran was part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2022 for a price of INR 10 crore. But he was released by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2023 auction.
