KKR: The T20 format is a very challenging format of the game. Every team tries to make as many runs as possible in 20 overs to put pressure on the opposition. Kolkata Knight Riders are among the few teams that have won the IPL title twice or more.

3. KKR (95 all out) vs MI in 2009
The third lowest total for the Kolkata Knight Riders came against the Mumbai Indians in the 2009 season. It came in the 17th game of the tournament at St George’s Park, Port Elizabeth. After winning the toss, MI chose to bat first. Mumbai had a great start and both openers scored 127 runs for the first wicket in 12.2 overs. Sachin Tendulkar made a 45-ball 68 and Sanath Jayasuriya made a 32-ball 52 runs. MI made 187/6 in their 20 overs.
It was a competitive total to chase for Kolkata Knight Riders and needed a good batting performance. In response, KKR had a poor start and lost Brendon McCullum (1) and Chris Gayle (12) within three overs. After that, they couldn’t recover. The whole team got dismissed for just 95 runs in 15.2 overs and KKR lost that game by 92 runs in the end.
2. KKR (84/8) vs RCB in 2020
The second lowest total for the Kolkata Knight Riders came in the 2020 season against Royal Challengers Bangalore. It was the 39th game of the tournament in Abu Dhabi. KKR won the toss and decided to bat first. But they had the worst start that they could ever imagine. Kolkata lost their first four wickets for just 14 runs within the first four overs. Skipper Eoin Morgan carried on for a while.
But he got out after scoring 30 runs. They played the whole 20 overs and scored only 84/8 in their innings, which is still their second lowest total. Chasing a small target, RCB batted cautiously and reached the target in 13.3 overs. Bangalore made 85/2 and won the match by 8 wickets with 39 balls to spare. That ended with a horrible day for the Kolkata Knight Riders.
1. KKR (67 all out) vs MI in 2008
Well, getting out for 50 or near is just the worst nightmare for a team. Although KKR didn’t have a 50 all out, their lowest total is also very small. The lowest for Kolkata came in the 2008 season against the Mumbai Indians. It was the 38th game of the tournament at Wankhede. MI won the toss and put KKR to bat first. Kolkata had a poor start with back-to-back wickets up front.
They lost their four wickets in 6.4 overs. In the end, they got out for just 67 runs in 15.2 overs. Skipper Sourav Ganguly scored the highest runs, which was 15 in that innings. But they even faced more humiliation in the second innings. MI chased down the target in just 5.3 overs and made 68/2. They won the game by 8 wickets with 87 balls to spare courtesy of Sanath Jayasuriya’s 17-ball 48 runs.
