Jos Buttler is one of the best batters in modern-day cricket. He is a proven match-winner who has won countless games for his teams. At the international level, his stature is very large, and he is known as one of the top white-ball specialists. Buttler recently led England to their maiden T20 World Cup title in 2022. Over the years, Buttler’s numbers have improved drastically. He is among the best batters in the league. Every season, he enters as one of the top contenders for the “Orange Cap,” which is given to the highest run-getter of the tournament. Eventually, Buttler won it in the 2022 season. That season was just remarkable for the wicketkeeper batter. He was batting at a totally different level.
Buttler ended the season as the highest run-getter of the tournament and was the prime reason for Rajasthan Royals reaching to the final of IPL 2022. Buttler 863 runs in 17 innings at an excellent average of 57.53 and a strike rate of 149.05. Although, he couldn’t break Virat Kohli’s record of 973 runs in 2016. but Buttler made the record for most IPL runs by an overseas in a single edition, going past David Warner’s 848 in 2016.
2. Joint Most Century in one single IPL season

The 2022 season was a dream edition for the English superstar. He achieved almost everything for an individual performer. But the only thing he missed was winning the championship for the Rajasthan Royals. And the same thing happened in the 2016 season, when Virat Kohli took Royal Challengers Bangalore to the final but lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad. But Virat broke all batting records.

He scored 100 against MI, 103 against KKR, 116 against DC, and 106 not out against RCB in 2022. It is also a record for an overseas batter to score the most IPL centuries in a single edition.
