IPL 2022: The first matches of all the teams have been completed now. Now all teams will play their second match. The 6th match of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League will see Royal Challengers Bangalore take on Kolkata Knight Riders. The match will kick off on Wednesday, March 30 at DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. Both teams had contrasting results in their opening matches.
KKR started their campaign with a win over the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings, comfortably by 6 wickets. RCB’s batting looked superb, led by skipper Faf Du Plessis, but the bowling let them down again. So this is a time for them to recover from that loss and pose a challenge against the strong-looking Kolkata team. So let’s check out the complete match details and possible XI for both teams.
IPL 2022: RCB vs KKR 6th Match Prediction and Preview
Royal Challengers Bangalore

Bangalore is the only team to have scored over 200+ so far in the tournament. But they are also the only team to concede 200+ runs to lose the match. That’s RCB for you. Royal Challengers Bangalore is the only team that has the most scores of 200+ in the history of the tournament. But they are also the team with the most defeats while defending 200 or more in the IPL. The first match was also an example of this.
Batting clicked once again in their opening match. The new skipper, Faf du Plessis, also showed why he is rated so highly in the IPL. But their bowling again let them down. However, this is a new match and another chance for them to bounce back. Du Plessis will open the innings once again, but this time we might see Virat with him. Anuj Rawat will play at No. 3. Dinesh Karthik, Sherfane Rutherford, and Shahbaz Ahmed will be batting next. There are not many changes expected in the bowling XI, so it will be the same as the last match.
Probably XI: Faf du Plessis (C), Virat Kohli, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik(WK), Sherfane Rutherford, Shahbaz Ahmed, Wanindu Hasaranga, David Willey, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj , and Akash Deep
Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata had a dream start to their IPL campaign. They thrashed the defending champions, CSK, by 6 wickets with 9 balls to spare. KKR ticked all the boxes in their first match at Wankhede Stadium. The bowlers did a fantastic job of restricting CSK to 131/5 in their 20 overs. And then batting did the rest. To add to that, new skipper Shreyas Iyer hit the winning runs for the team.
Well, RCB could be their next prey in the next match. If KKR can replicate their first match performance, the win over RCB will be a cake walk for them. Not many changes are expected in the team. They would like to go with the same XI up against RCB as well. Umesh Yadav led the bowling team very well. Other bowlers have chipped in with some wickets. Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer will open, with Nitish Rana and Shreyas Iyer at Nos. 3 and 4. Rest line-up will be same as the last match.
Probably XI: Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer (C), Sam Billings, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Sheldon Jackson (WK), Umesh Yadav, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Shivam Mavi
IPL 2022: Bangalore vs Kolkata Match, Pitch and Toss update
The pitch at Wankhede Stadium is a dream come true for the batsmen. They can trust the bounce, and with shorter boundaries, it will be more difficult for the bowlers to contain them. The dew might also be a factor in the second innings. It will be hard for the bowlers to grip the ball, and that will help the batters. The toss is the most important part of the T20 game. And on this pitch, the team winning the toss should go for the bowl first. Chasing the target has an additional advantage on this ground.
RCB vs KKR Head to Head Stats
Both teams have met a total of 29 times in the history of the Indian Premier League. The two-time champions are marginally ahead of the RCB. Kolkata has won 16 matches in total, as compared to the 13 wins of RCB. However, KKR has won the last two matches between the two. So can they make a hat-trick of wins against the RCB? Can the Challengers get their first win this season?

IPL 2022: RCB vs KKR: Players to watch out for
Faf Du Plessis can not do wrong with the bat in hand in the IPL. The skipper scored 88 runs off 57 balls, including seven maximums and three fours against Punjab Kings. He is in a purple patch with his batting form and would like to replicate his first match performance against KKR as well.
Harshal Patel needs to step up and tighten his shoes. He is the leader of the RCB bowling attack and he needs to prove it to them. Harshal was thrashed by the batter in the last match and that is also the reason the team lost the match. He is their premium bowler and he will surely bounce back against KKR.
Vekatesh Iyer showed some glimpses in the last match but didn’t convert his start to a big score. He scored just 16 but looked good during his short stay at the crease. But this is another chance for him in the next match. And to be in the race for the Indian national team, he needs to prove his worth.
Sunil Narine gave away just 15 runs in his four overs against CSK. He was looking like the vintage Narine. And RCB is also not good against spin, so he can surely make the most of it. Narine will be the bowler from the KKR camp to watch out for.
IPL 2022: Predicted 11 team of the match Prediction
Wicket-keeper: Dinesh Karthik (RCB)
Batsmen: Virat Kohli (RCB), Ajinkya Rahane (KKR), Faf du Plessis (RCB), Shreyas Iyer (KKR)
All-rounders: Sunil Narine (KKR), Wanindu Hasaranga (RCB)
Bowlers: Umesh Yadav (KKR), Harshal Patel (RCB), Mohammed Siraj (RCB), Varun Chakravarthy (KKR)
Tips: Faf du Plessis will be the captain of the team as per his current batting form. Virat Kohli or Shreyas Iyer can be the team’s vice-captain. After the loss in the first match, RCB might be a bit lower in confidence, so this is a great chance for KKR to make it two out of two. The toss can decide the faith of the match. But we will back RCB to win this match.
