3. Pakistan (103 runs) vs New Zealand in December 2010
Its been more than a decade for Paksitan’s third-biggest T20I win. It came in December 2010 when they toured New Zealand for three T20Is. It was the final game in Christchurch. After winning the toss, the visitors decided to bat first. They got an excellent start from their openers, who added 81 runs for the opening wickets in 8.4 overs. Ahmed Shehzad scored 54 off 34 balls, including 10 boundaries.
Mohammad Hafeez (34 off 23), Umar Akmal (30 off 19), and Abdul Razzaq (34* off 11) played some impactful innings in the middle. It helped the Men in Green reach a competitive score of 183/6 in the first inning. Chasing the target, New Zealand had one of the disastorus start one can imagine. Their top four batters got out for a duck, which pushed them to the back foot. New Zealand only managed 80 runs in 15.5 overs and lost the game by 103 runs.
2. Pakistan (143 runs) vs West Indies in April 2018
Pakistan’s second biggest win in the shorter format came against West Indies in April 2018. It came in the first game of the three-match T20I series in Karachi. West Indies won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first. Fakhar Zaman gave his team a decent start with a 24-ball 39. Hussain Talat made 41 off 37, and skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed also added a 22-ball 8 runs. In the end, Shoaib Malik played an exciting cameo of 37 off 14.
It pushed Pakistan to score more than 200 runs. They ended up with a score of 203/5 in 20 overs, which was an over-par score. In the second inning, West Indies had a poor batting performance. Marlon Samuels was their highest scorer with 18 runs. They got dismissed in 13.4 overs for a score of 60 runs. Pakistan registered a big win by 143 runs.
1. Pakistan (155 runs) vs Hong Kong in September 2022
The Men in Green recorded their highest T20I win during the 2022 Asia Cup. They made it to the final of the tournament and won some brilliant games during the tournament. It was the 6th game of the tournament against Hong Kong in Sharjah. Hong Kong won the toss and decided to bat second. Pakistan lost skipper Babar Azam early for nine runs. But Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman added 116 runs for the second wicket in 12.4 overs.
Fakhar made 53 off 41 balls. Rizwan took the inning till the end and remained unbeaten on 78 off 57 balls, with six fours and one six. In the end, Khushdil Shah (35* off 15) ended the inning on a high with five sixes in the last over. Pakistan made a total of 193/2. Then, they dismissed Hong Kong for just 38 runs in 10.4 overs to win by 155 runs.
