Rob Nicol added 56 runs from just 37 balls whereas James Franklin contributed 60 runs off 37 balls. The partnership of 103 between Nicol and Franklin released the pressure from the other batters and made the target easy. Brendon McCullum and Kane Williamson completed the rest of the work and achieved the target easily by making 202 runs and winning the match by 5 wickets.
