5. Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu (134 runs) in 2018
It was Chennai Super Kings that registered the fifth-biggest IPL partnership against SRH. That was made in the 2018 season in Pune. Batting first, Sunrisers made a decent total of 179/4, with Shikhar Dhawan (79) and Kane Williamson (51) scoring fifties. In reply, CSK had a 134-run opening stand between Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu (57 off 35). Watson made a century and scored 100* off 62, including seven fours and seven sixes. RCB won the toss and chose to bowl first. Sunrisers made 175/7 in their first inning with the help of Kane Williamson (70* off 43). The pair of Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson registered the third-highest IPL stand against Hyderabad. They made it in 2021 in Delhi when SRH met RR. Batting first, RR posted a huge total of 220/3 in 50 overs. Buttler made 124 off 64 and added 150-run stand with Sanju Samson (48 off 33). In response, SRH reached 165/8 runs and lost the game by 55 runs.
2. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers (157 runs) in 2016
The 2016 season saw RCB and SRH make it to the finals of the tournament. However, they also played in the group stage when RCB made the second-biggest partnership against SRH. Batting first, RCB made a huge score of 227/4 in 20 overs. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers added 157 runs for the second wicket. Virat made 75 off 51, and De Villiers scored 82 off 42. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway added 182 runs for the first wicket. Gaikwad made 99 off 57, and Conway scored 85* off 55. SRH had some good contributions but made 189/6 and lost by 13 runs.
