However, they were looking good for a big score, but a hat trick from Rashid changed the whole game. He came out to bowl the 15th over and took three wickets off the first three balls. He dismissed Andre McCarthy on the first ball for a googly. Then he bowled another googly to dismiss Jonathan Foo for a duck. On the hat-trick ball, he once again bowled a googly to dismiss Rovman Powell for a golden duck to complete a special feat. Chasing the target, Guyana won the match by five wickets and with 13 balls to spare. The highlight of Rashid’s hat-trick.

2. Andre Russell Hat-Trick against Trinbago Knight Riders in 2018

This was the 3rd game of the tournament against the Trinbago Knight Riders. Jamaica won the toss and put Trinbago to bat first. TKR played really well and scored a big score of 223/6. Every Jamaican bowler went for plenty in that match. The only positive that came out of the match was a special hat trick from the skipper, Andre Russell. He came out to bowl the 20th over and picked up three consecutive wickets. He dismissed Brendon McCullum, Darren Bravo and Dinesh Ramdin to complete his hat-trick and become only the second bowler to do this in the CPL. In the chase, he also batted brilliantly and scored the fastest CPL century off 40 balls. In the chase he made an unbeaten 121* off 49 balls, including six fours and 13 sixes, to win the game for his team. The highlight of Russell’s hat-trick.
