5. Jonny Bairstow (105 runs) – 54 balls vs Scotland
Jonny Bairstow is just a modern-day beast who has all kinds of gears in his batting. He has hit the fifth-fastest ODI century for his country. It came against Scotland in June 2018. But in came in the losing cause. It was a high-scoring game, and Scotland posted their highest ODI score of 371/5 in their first inning with the help of Calum MacLeod (140 off 94). In reply, England got a great start from Bairstow, who scored a 54-ball century. He made 105 off 59 with 12 fours and six sixes. But England fell short by six runs and made 365.
4. Moeen Ali (102 runs) -53 balls vs West Indies
All-rounder Moeen Ali is next on this list with the fourth-fastest ODI century for his country. He smashed a 53-ball hundred against the West Indies in September 2017 at Bristol when the West Indies toured England. Batting first, England scored a mammoth total of 369/9, and Moeen provided them with a brilliant finish. He scored 102 off 57 balls, with 7 fours and 8 sixes. In reply, the Caribbean team only managed 245 all out and lost the game by 124 runs.
3. Jos Buttler (110 not out) – 50 balls vs Pakistan
There is no doubt about the hitting ability of Jos Buttler. In fact, he is among the most destructive batters in the modern era. He smashed a 50-ball century against Pakistan in their tour on 11 May, 2019 at Southampton. It was a high-scoring thriller, and England made 373/3 in their 50 overs. Every English batter contributed, but Buttler played a brilliant cameo. He scored an unbeaten 110 off 55, with six fours and nine sixes. In response, Pakistan also tried hard, with Fakhar Zaman scoring 138 runs. But Pakistan fell short by 12 runs and made 361/7.
2. Jos Buttler (162 not out) – 47 balls vs Netherlands
England’s second-fastest hundreds in ODIs also came from Jos Buttler’s bat. He made it against the Netherlands in Amstelveen in June 2022, when England posted the highest ODI total of 498/4. Phil Salt (122) and Dawid Malan (125) also scored centuries. But Buttler played a different inning and scored a 47-ball century. He remained unbeaten on 162 off 70 balls, with 7 fours and 14 sixes. The Netherlands were all out for 266 runs in the chase and lost the game by 232 runs.

Buttler scored the fastest ODI century for England in November 2015 at Dubai Cricket Stadium against Pakistan. It was the final game of the four-match series, and England scored 355/5 batting first. Jason Roy got them off to a good start with a century (102). And Buttler gave them the perfect end with a 46-ball century. He scored an unbeaten 116 off 52 balls, with 10 fours and 8 sixes. Pakistan got all out for 271 runs and lost the game by 84 runs.
