4. Rohit Sharma – 227 innings
The Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is one of the four players to score 6000 runs in the league. He recently achieved this landmark in the IPL 2023. Rohit made his debut for Deccan Charges in 2008 and played until three seasons. He was traded to MI in 2011 and from there on became one of the most consistent batters in the league. Rohit completed 6000 IPL runs in 227 innings. So far, he has made 6070 runs in 238 games at an average and strike rate of 29.60 and 129.72.
3. Shikhar Dhawan – 199 innings
Shikhar Dhawan has improved with every season passing by. The veteran Indian opener has been one of two batters to score 400 or more runs in nine IPL seasons. Dhawan made his debut for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). He also played for MI, Deccan Chargers, SRH, and PBKS. Dhawan took 199 innings to complete 6000 IPL runs. So far, the southpaw has scored 6593 runs in 214 games at an average of 35.83 and a strike rate of 127.15.
2. Virat Kohli – 188 innings
The former Indian captain and one of the biggest names in the league, Virat Kohli is ranked second on this list. Virat has always been the center of attraction whenever he plays in the league. He has now scored over 7000 IPL runs. There are several records in Virat’s kitty in the IPL. He took 188 innings to reach the 6000-run mark in the IPL. The former RCB skipper has scored 7044 runs in 234 games and all those runs came for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
1. David Warner – 165 innings
David Warner is among the most entertaining player in the IPL. The Southpaw has been always among the top scorers for whichever franchise he plays. Warner made his IPL debut for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and played until 2013 and then rejoined the team in 2022. In between he was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad from 2014 and 2021. Warner reached 6000 IPL runs in his 165th innings and is the fastest in history. In his IPL career, he has scored 6211 runs in 173 games at 41.13 and 139.38.
