4. David Warner (Australia) – 15 innings
Australian swashbuckling opener David Warner is in third place in the overall list. Warner made his ODI debut for Australia in January 2009 against South Africa in Hobart. 2. Viv Richards (West Indies) – 114 innings
Former West Indies legend Sir Viv Richards is second on this list. He is the joint-second fastest player with Virat, who scored 5000 ODI runs in 114 innings. Richards was a once-in-a-lifetime player of his generation, who loved to dominate the opposition. In his career, he played 187 ODI games and scored 6721 runs at an average of 47.00. Sir Richards also scored 11 centuries and 45 half-centuries in his ODI career.
1. Hashim Amla (South Africa) – 101 innings
If you can surpass the likes of Viv Richards, Virat Kohli, Warner, Root, and many more, then you are definitely the best. Former South African skipper Hashim Amla is at the top of the list and has taken 13 innigns less than No. 2. In his 101st innings, Amla completed 5000 ODI runs in his career. He made his debut in March 2008 against Bangladesh. In his career, he played 181 games and scored 8113 runs, including 27 centuries and 39 fifties.
