T20 cricket is a very fast-moving cricket because it doesn’t offer much time to both bowler and batters. That is why it has become the most popular format among the fans. Batters tend to score runs quickly, and that’s the reason we often see big scores in a very short time. On his day, every batter can win the game single-handedly.
But only a few can perform consistently for a certain time period. And we brought you one such interesting record of T20 internationals, which is very hard to break. Here, we will cover the list of the fastest batters to score 1000 runs in T20 internationals. There are some big names on this list.
6. KL Rahul (India) – 29 Innings
India’s star opener KL Rahul is joint-fourth fastest on the list, having made his T20I debut for India in June 2016. Rahul is a vital part of the Indian team now and is also the vice-captain. It is because he has been a consistent performer for his team over the years. That consistency shows in his performance. Rahul has scored the fifth fastest 1000 T20I runs. He took only 29 innings to do so and did it against the West Indies in December 2019 with a 40-ball 62.
5. Aaron Finch (Australia) – 29 Innings
Australian white-ball skipper Aaron Finch is also the joint-fourth fastest batter to reach 1000 T20I runs. Finch made his T20I debut in January 2011 against England. His T20I career is just phenomenal as he holds the record of highest individual score (175) in the format. Finch also took 29 innings to reach 1000 T20I runs. He completed it with a knock of 43 runs against Sri Lanka in February 2017.
4. Virat Kohli (India) – 27 Innings
Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli is certainly a one-in-a-generation player. He has been consistent for so long in all three formats of the game. Virat is third on the list and it took only 27 innings to reach 1000 T20I runs. He made his T20I debut in June 2010 against Zimbabwe and completed 1000 runs in October 2015 against South Africa with a knock of 43 runs.

2. Babar Azam (Pakistan) – 26 Innings
Fans often compare Virat Kohli and Babar Azam in the game of cricket. It is because both are among the top players in the current era. The 28-year-old is second on the list and he took one inning less than Virat to complete 1000 T20I runs. He took 26 innings to reach this milestone, which came in a match against New Zealand in November 2018, when he scored a 58-ball 79.
