2. Lendl Simmons – 23 innings
West Indian former star Lendl Simmons is the second-fastest batter to complete 1,000 career runs in the IPL. Simmons made his debut in 2014 for the Mumbai Indians as a replacement and played four seasons for them. He completed 1000 IPL runs in 23 innings. Overall, he scored 1079 runs in 29 innings at an average of 39.96 and a strike rate of 126.64, with one century and 11 half-centuries.
1. Shaun Marsh – 21 innings
Shaun Marsh was one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the tournament. In fact, he was the “Orange Cup” winner of the inaugural season in 2008. Marsh played until the 2017 season and only played for Kings XI Punjab (Punjab Kings). He took 21 innings to touch the 1000-run mark in the tournament.
