Scoring a century is always a big achievement for a batter in any form of cricket. But scoring a hundred in a 20-over game is just incredible. Because batsmen don’t get enough time to try to settle in and score big runs. Instead, they have to go after the bowling from the first balls. And in doing so, many batters lose their wickets.
That is the reason that scoring a hundred in a T20 game is a rarity. But there are some batsmen who have done this and that too, and that too, in a very short time.

7. Kieron Pollard (53 balls) against Barbados Tridents in 2018
The seventh fastest CPL hundred is registered under the name of Keiron Pollard. It came in the 10th game between Barbados Tridents and St. Lucia Stars at Gros Islet. Batting first, St. Lucia scored a massive total of 226/6 in their 20 overs. Five batters scored zero runs in the innings, and three batters scored all the runs. 4. Chris Gayle (49 balls) against Trinbago Knight Riders in 2016

It was the 7th game of the 2016 season between Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Tallawahs. Batting first, Trinbago made a challenging total of 191/4 runs in their 20 overs. But it wasn’t enough against the likes of Chris Gayle. He scored a 49-ball century and made 108* off 54 balls with 6 fours and 11 sixes to help his team chase down the target in 18.2 overs.
3. Nicholas Pooran (45 Balls) against St. Lucia Stars in 2018
The third fastest century came in the 2020 season by Nicholas Pooran. It was the 20th match of the season between St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Guyana Amazon Warriors. Batting first, St. Kitts scored 150/5 in their 20 overs, with the help of Joshua Da Silva (59). In reply, Guyana lost their first three wickets for just 25 runs in 5.4 overs. 2. Andre Russell (44 balls) against Trinbago Knight Riders in 2016
Andre Russell is a beast when it comes to hitting the cricket ball. He holds the record for the second fastest 100, which came against Trinbago Knight Riders in the 2016 season. It was the second qualifier at Basseterre. Batting first, Jamaica were struggling at 4/67 in 9.4 overs. It brought Russell to the crease, which changed the whole scenario. He smashed a 44-ball century and made 100 runs with three fours and 11 sixes. Jamaica scored 195/7 in their 20 overs. In reply, Trinbago only scored 110/7 and lost the match by 19 runs (D/L method). Russell took two wickets with the ball as well.
1. Andre Russell (40 balls) against Trinbago Knight Riders (Fastest in CPL history)
Not just the second fastest, Russell also holds the record for the fastest century as well, and that too, against the same team. It was the third match of the 2018 season between Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Tallawahs. It was also the first match for Russell as a captain. Batting first, Trinbago scored a big total of 223/6 in their overs with the help of Brendon McCullum (56) and Colin Munro (61). In reply, Jamaica didn’t have a great start and lost their five wickets for just 41 runs. But then came an incredible innings from skipper Russell. He scored a 40-ball century to take his team to victory. He made 121* off 49 balls with six fours and 13 sixes, and Jamaica won the game by four wickets and three balls to spare.
(Fun Fact: Andre Russell is the only player in the history to score a T20 century and a Hat-trick in the same Game)
