Delhi Bulls: Cricket, along with football and baseball, is one of the most popular sports. That is why more than 100 countries across the globe play this game. Speaking of its rich history, it started with test cricket, then moved to ODI, then to T20. But to make it more interesting, one league was introduced in 2017.
It was one of its kinds, which was a 10-over match with both teams getting ten overs to play. It was named the Abu Dhabi T10 league and the very first season of this amazing tournament was played in 2017. So far, this league has successfully organised its five seasons, and the next season is about to start in a few months’ time in the UAE. The player draft for the upcoming season ended on Monday, September 26, and all eight teams have now got their superstars.
Delhi Bulls Team
One of the eight teams in the tournament is the Delhi Bulls. This team has been unlucky in the last two seasons and has ended as runners-up in both seasons. But they will try now to make it a third time lucky to lift the title this time around. In the 2021 season, the Bulls lost the finals to the Northern Warriors by 8 wickets, while in 2021-22, they lost to the Deccan Gladiators by 56 runs. The Bulls played their first season in 2019 and have so far played in three seasons of the league.
Dwayne Bravo is the icon and captain of the team, while former Zimbabwe captain Andy Flower is the coach.
Delhi Bulls 2022 Squad
Bravo will be seen leading the team once again, and they have picked up some interesting names in the recently concluded player draft. Apart from the skipper, the other 15 players are in the current squad. The likes of Tim David, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Rilee Rossouw, Will Jacks, and Najibullah Zadran make this a team full of power-hitters.
Then, names like Imad Wasim, Keemo Paul, and Bravo will provide the all-important all-round options for the team. The team’s bowling attack will be led by Dominic Drakes, Richard Gleeson, and Fazalhaq Farooqi. But the team will surely miss the services of Eoin Morgan, Sherfane Rutherford, and Romario Shepherd, who were the star performers in the last season.
