Caribbean Premier League is one of the well-known T20 cricket leagues and it was organized by the cricket governing body of the West Indies in the West Indies. In 2022, the CPL will be conducted in the months of August and September in which 6 teams will participate. In the history of the CPL, Trinbago Knight Riders which is owned by Knight Riders Group is the most successful franchise who have lifted the title 4 times in the year 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2020.

CPL 2013 Winner : Jamaica Tallawahs, 1st Season
In the opening season of the CPL, Jamaica Tallawahs became the champions by defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors by 7 wickets in the final encounter. In the final competition of the CPL inaugural season, Guyana Amazon Warriors got the chance to bat first and they added 128 runs on the scoreboard. Jamaica needed only 129 runs to lift the title, and when they came out to chase the target, they did not face any difficulties and achieved it. Thus, Jamaica Tallawahs won the final of CPL 2013 by 7 wickets and Chris Gayle was named Man of the Match whereas Krishmar Santoke was the Man of the Series.
CPL 2014 Winner : Barbados Tridents, 2nd Season
In the 2nd season of CPL 2014, Barbados Tridents defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors by 8 runs and lifted the CPL 2014 trophy. Barbados Tridents got the opportunity to bat first and they added 152 runs on the scoreboard in 20 overs. But rain interrupted the game and Guyana Amazon Warriors got the target of 116 runs in 15.5 overs. In reply, Amazon Warriors made 107 runs and lost the match by 8 runs. Thus, Barbados Trident won the final and Shoaib Malik was named Man of the Match, and Lendl Simmons was chosen Man of the Series in CPL 2014.
CPL Winner 2015 : Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel, 3rd Season
Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel, which is Tobago Knight Riders now, lifted the CPL 2015 trophy after defeating Barbados Tridents by 20 runs in the final competition. Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel reached the final of the CPL for the first time, where they met defending champion Barbados Tridents. After winning the toss, Red Steel decided to bat first and added 178 runs on the scoreboard. Despite getting a good start, Tridents could make only 158 runs in reply and thus Red Steel won the match by 20 runs. Kamran Akmal was named Man of the Match for his crucial 60 runs and Dwayne Bravo was the Man of the Series.
CPL Winner 2016 : Jamaica Tallawahs, 4th Season
Jamaica Tallawahs was the winner of the CPL 4th season in 2016 by defeating Guyana Amazon Warrior by 9 wickets in the final competition. Guyana Amazon Warriors reached the final for the 3rd time but could not get enough luck and were defeated every time. Both the teams had already faced each other in the final competition of the CPL first season. While batting first, the Warriors could not perform well and the entire squad was bowled out at 93 runs. In reply, Jamaica did not have any hurdle to chase the target and got it in 12.5 overs. Imad Wasim was named Man of the Match for his outstanding and match-winning bowling performance. Andre Russell was named Man of the Series in CPL 2016 season.
CPL T20 Winner 2017 : Trinbago Knight Riders, 5th Season
In the final competition of the CPL 2017, Trinbago Knight Riders faced St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and beat them by 3 wickets, thus the Trinbago Knight Riders became the champion of CPL for the 2nd time. The Trinbago got the target of 136 runs to win the final encounter of CPL 2017 but they did not get a good start and lost 3 wickets at 48 at one time. Despite a bad start, Trinbago handled the situation and won the match by 3 wickets. Kevan Cooper was named Man of the Match for his crucial unbeaten 29 runs and 2 wickets.
2018 CPL Winner : Trinbago Knight Riders, 6th Season
In 2018, Trinbago Knight Rides again reached the final in the 6th season of CPL and lifted the title for the 3rd time by defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors. While batting first, Guyana added 148 runs on the scoreboard. In reply, Trinbago openers started well and helped other batsmen to play without any pressure and thus achieved the target in just 17.3 overs. Trinbago won the match by 7 wickets in which Colin Munro contributed 68 runs. Khary Pierre was named Man of the Match and Colin Munro was called for Man of the Series who made 567 runs.
2019 CPL Winner : Barbados Tridents, 7th edition
In the 7th season of CPL in 2019, Barbados Tridents became the champion by defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final competition. Guyana Amazon Warriors appeared in the final of CPL for the 5th time but still they could not lift the trophy and lost their 5th chance of winning the CPL title. Barbados batted first and set a target of 172 runs for the Warriors in which Johnathan Carter added unbeaten 50 runs off 27 balls. In reply, the Warriors could make 144 in reply and lost the final by 27 runs. Jonathan Carter was named Man of the Match and Hayden Walsh was the Man of the Series for his 22 wickets in the league.
CPL 2020 Winner: Trinbago Knight Riders, 8th Edition
In 2020, the 8th season of the CPL was organized where Trinbago Knight Riders became the champion for the 4th time and thus became the most successful team in the history of the CPL. In the final encounter of CPL 2020, the Riders met St Lucia Zouks, where St Lucia set a target of 155 runs for Trinbago. In reply, Trinbago batters did not face any hurdle and achieved the target very comfortably in 18.1 overs at the loss of 2 wickets. Thus, Trinbago created the history of lifting the CPL title 4 times. Lendl Simmons was named Man of the Match for his incredible unbeaten 84 runs and Kieron Pollard was the Man of the Series.
CPL 2021 Winner : St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, 9th Edition
In the 9th season of CPL in 2021, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots became the champion by defeating Saint Lucia Kings in the final competition. Saint Lucia Kings got the chance to bat first and they added 159 runs on the scoreboard. In reply, St Kitts opener failed to get a good start and Patriots lost 2 wickets at 26 runs only. Then Dominic Drakes at the number 6th position played a crucial innings of 48 runs that helped them to achieve the target. Thus, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots won the final competition by 3 wickets and Dominic Drakes was named Man of the Match.

Jamaica Tallawahs won the CPL 2022 trophy by defeating Barbados Royals in the final by 8 wickets.
