IPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore has long been one of the most popular teams among cricket fans worldwide. But they haven’t been able to win the title so far in 15 seasons. RCB has made it to the final three times in 2009, 2011 and 2016. But all three time they ended in a wrong side. One of the main reasons for their inconsistency is their overdependence on the batting order. RCB has been a dominant batting team in the IPL.
But last season, they also had some decent bowling options on their team. But the franchise has made some decent moves in the IPL auction 2023 and added some decent all-rounders to the team to give the side the right balance.
RCB Best All rounders in IPL 2023
RCB roped in English all-rounder Will Jacks in the auction at a price of INR 3.2 crore. They have now got some other good all-rounders, which we will check in this article.
4. Will Jacks
Will Jacks has been a consistent performer on the English domestic circuit. He was part of the English team when they toured Pakistan for three Tests recently. Jacks is a batting all-rounder who can bowl useful off-spin. He is a finisher for his domestic team and has experience playing over 100 T20 games on the domestic circuit. He has also scored 2532 runs and taken 23 wickets, with a best of 4/15.
3. Shahbaz Ahmed
Shahbaz Ahmed was the find of the season for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Among all those big names, he made his presence felt and was one of the vital players who helped RCB qualify for the playoffs. He scored 219 runs in 11 innings at an average and strike rate of 27.38 and 120.99. With the ball, he was also good. Shahbaz took four wickets in the limited period he bowled for RCB. He has recently made his debut for India as well and has taken three wickets in three ODIs.
2. Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell is a big name in white-ball cricket across the world. His all-around ability makes him a really big asset for any team. There is no doubt about the hitting ability of Maxwell in T20 cricket, but he is a more than capable off-spinner as well. Maxwell can chip in with a few overs here and there and do a really good job. He scored 301 runs at a brilliant strike rate of 169.10 in 13 innings for RCB in 2022. Maxwell also took six wickets at a decent economy rate of 6.88.
1. Wanindu Hasaranga
Wanindu Hasaranga is one of the leading spinners in modern-day cricket, which he proved last season as well. Hasaranga ended the 2022 season as the second highest wicket-taker in the league behind Yuzvendra Chahal. He picked up 26 wickets in 16 games at 7.54, with a best figure of 5/18. Although, he has not batted much in the IPL but for Sri Lanka, he has batted up the order. Hasaranga has six international half-centuries across formats.
